Balanced use of Fertilizer for better nutrient management and Crop Production through different Technologies 
Awareness and Seminar on Balanced Fertilizer Application was held at Narisho village of Balipatna block of Khordha district. Today, in this program, Dr. Prakash Chandra Jena, Dr. Mridul Chakraborty, Er. Bhupendra, Dr. Biswajit Mandal, Er. Tapas Behera, Shri Sarat Chandra Sahu and Shri Ankit Anand from Central Rice Research Institute made the farmers present aware about the need and benefits of balanced fertilizer application. Along with this, Shri Bairagi Mallick, Shri Abhay Mallick, Shri Ananandandra Behera and Shri Ashok Mallick from other SCSP foster villages were present and made the program a success. Shri Sukant T.D. conducted the program.
In this program, discussions were held on the protection of soil health by applying balanced fertilizer to paddy and other crops. The discussion focused on increasing crop production along with water and environmental protection, and on the use of heavy fertilizer in paddy fields and organic farming.
The awareness program discussed increasing farmers’ income through techniques developed at the Paddy Research Center, leaf color charts and natural farming methods. Around 350 farmer sisters and brothers attended the meeting and actively participated in the discussion.
