Dr. G.A.K. Kumar Assumes the Charge of Director of ICAR-CRRI, Cuttack
Dr. G.A.K. Kumar, Head of the Social Science Division, has assumed the charge of the Director of ICAR-Central Rice Research Institute (ICAR-CRRI), Cuttack, from 1st June 2025.
With a wealth of experience in agricultural research, extension, and social sciences, Dr. Kumar has a particular emphasis on farmer-centered innovation and policy support. His direction is anticipated to further enhance the institute’s commitment to promoting rice research that ensures the food and nutritional security of the nation.
Under his guidance, ICAR-CRRI aims to continue its contributions to sustainable rice production, the dissemination of technology, and effective stakeholder engagement, particularly in alignment with national initiatives such as the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan.
