Demonstration of CRRI Biofertilizers & Kisan Ghosti of Progressive farmers was organised at Kothabad village Pipili block of Puri District on 29.05.26 under the innovative project “Production, Popularisation & supply of quality bioinoculants in rice based cropping & farming system of Odisha (Jaiva Poshak) funded by state Govt. of Odisha. This program also formed the integral component of”Mera Gaon Mera Gourav” program of ICAR & DAFE, New Delhi with the theme on balanced use of fertilizers. This program was organised in association with I-Concept Initiatives. This program was coordinated by Dr. Dibyendu Chatterjee, Senior Scientist. He delivered on the importance of soil health & prospects of Biofertilizers.Dr. Krishnendu Chattopadhyay, Principal Scientist explained about the adoption of CRRI released nutrient rich rice varieties & their production practices with balanced use of fertilizers.Dr. Biswajit Sen, Scientist, has explained environmental & economic prospects of Endo N, which can substitute Nitrogen requirement by 25%. Dr.B Jeevan, Scientist has emphasized on the applications of Trichoderma in vegetable crops. Sri Brindaban Dash, Senior Technical Officer has demonstrated the applications of Azolla as Biofertilizer. This program was facilitated by project staff & moderated by Sri. Prabin Upadhyay, ICI. Around 51 farmers including 8 female & 43 male were benefited from this program. There was interaction between farmers & scientists on the effective application of CRRI Biofertilizers in rice & vegetable crops.
