Awareness Campaign under MGMG Programme 
Awareness Compaign on “Science–based Nutrient and Input Management” was organized by ICAR-CRRI (CRURRS, Hazaribag) on 15.05.2026 under ‘Mera Gaon-Mera Gaurav’ Programme at Gurhet Panchayat Bhawan,Sadar, Hazaribag by team 15 . The Mukhiya of the Panchayat, Mr. Mahesh Tigga welcomed all the participants and advised to take up the agricultural practices with suggestion of the agricultural scientists also he requested the scientists to visit the village and organize trainings for benefits of the farming community. Dr. Shiv Mangal Prasad, Principal Scientist (Agonomy) elaborated about different compost making methods like Enriched compost, NADEP compost, Vermicompost as well as Green and Brown Manuring techniques. Dr. Someshwar Bhagat, Principal Scientist (Plant Pathology) had given talk on IPM for rice crop in detail to reduce the pesticide usage. Dr. B C Verma, Senior Scientist (Soil Scienc) highlighted about the importance of soil testing , use of soil test based balance nutrient use. Dr.Soumya Saha, Scientist (Agonomy) focused on use of climate resilient CRRI Rice varieties suitable for Jharkhand.. The programme ended with vote of thanks offered by Mr Albert Naag, the teacher and progressive farmer of the panchayat. Mr. Bheemraj Meena, Technical (T1) assisted in organizing the event. All total 37 progressive farmers ( Male -27 & Female-10) have taken part from Gurhet, Bahranpur Chorhaita and Chalchalaiya villages.
