Organization of Swachhata Hi Seva-2026 from 17.09.2026 to 2.10.2026 at ICAR-Central Rice Research Institute, Cuttack 
As per correspondence received from the Secretary, DARE & DG, ICAR, New Delhi; ICAR-CRRI, Cuttack organized successfully “Swachhata Hi Seva-2026 with the theme “Swachhata Mein Sahbhag, Swachh Bharat, Vikshit Bharat” from 17.09.2026-2.10.2026 and during this period different “Swachhata activities on daily basis” were organized. On the very first day i.e, on 17.09.2026, Dr.GAK Kumar, Director (I/c) administered “Swachhata Pledge” in Hindi language to all the staff members and others in Dr.K.Ramiah Conference Hall.
During the above period, the Institute Swachha Bharat Committee with cooperation and coordination from all the Divisions/Sections/Units of the Institute organized five Swachhata (cleaning) drives; two competitions on “Swachhata” (essay and slogan writing) among different standards of CRRI High School students; monitored swachhata in CRRI laboratory (1 no.) and administration Unit (I no.); creating awareness campaigns on swachhata and discouraging use of “Single Use Plastics” (4 nos.); organization of one workshop on “Waste to wealth” by Dr.S.Muda, Senior Scientist (Agronomy), CRRI on 28.09.2026; organization of “Symbolic human chain on swachhata” in Kanheipur village on 29.09.226 and organization of one important event on 1.10.2026 on “Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath” with involvement of fifty farmers from Bhadrak & Ganjam in the Institute Vermicompost Unit.
Concluding programme of SHS-2026 was organized on 2.10.2026 including prize distribution by Dr. P. Bhattacharya, I/c Director, CRRI, Cuttack to the winning students and felicitation of eminent citizens of Kanheipur, Bidyadharpur villages spreading the message of “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” in their localities. This sixteen day long on daily basis were organized satisfactorily by active involvement of Dr. Srikanta Lenka, Principal Scientist & Chairman and other Institute Swachh Committee members.
