“Swachhata Pledge Day” organized at ICAR-Central Rice Research Institute, Cuttack on 16th December, 2025 (under Swachhata Pakhwada-2025 from 16-31st December, 2025) 
As per the direction from Secretary, DARE & DG, ICAR, New Delhi; ICAR-Central Rice Research Institute, Cuttack organized “Swachhata Pledge Day” on the very first day i.e, on 16-12-2025 at 11.00 AM on occasion of organization of Swachhata Pakhwada-2025. Dr. Srikanta Lenka, Chairman, Institute Swachha Bharat Committee briefed about different day to day activities under Swachhata Pakhwada-2025 (from 16-31st December, 2025) to be organized at the Institute, its residential premises, villages, tourist spots, hostels, educational institutions and local markets etc. The Director, ICAR-CRRI, Cuttack administered the “Swachhata pledge”. “Swachhata anthem” was displayed to all the staff members of the Institute and Director of the Institute urged the participants to include their co-workers into the Swachhata activity. In the programme Shri Ganesh Kumar, Sr.AO, ICAR –CRRI emphasized on non-use of single use plastics in the Institute/residential campus and `directed all the staff members not to use pan and other tobacco products during the office hours as an effort to keep our environment neat & clean and remain healthy. Also, on this day, “Swachhata awareness message” was spread by the Institute on this day through LED screen kept in the Reception Corner and banners in different locations outside the Institute. In this meeting organized at Dr. K. Ramiah Conference hall of the Institute; Heads of the Divisions, Sr.AO, Sr.FAO, Swachh Bharat Committee members, scientists and other staff members were present. A total of 80 participants attended the meeting and expressed their willingness join in the “Swachha Bharat Abhiyan”.
