Report of Celebration of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) on 31st October, 2025 at ICAR–Central Rice Research Institute, Cuttack
The National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) was celebrated on 31st October 2025 at ICAR–Central Rice Research Institute (CRRI), Cuttack on the occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel to commemorate his invaluable contribution to the unity, integrity and security of India. On this occasion, the Unity Pledge was administered by Dr. Sangamitra Samantaray, Director, ICAR–CRRI, Cuttack to all staff of the institute. To promote the message of National Integration and collective strength among the staff posing for unity was made by forming the human chain. Two lectures on the theme of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” were organized. The programme started with the Welcome address by Dr. B. Mondal, Head, Social Sciences Division. The first lecture was delivered by Dr. P. Bhattacharya, Head, Crop Production Division on “Management and Leadership Skills”. He explained it with the example of eminent personal like Mr. Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. A, P, J, Abdul Kalam, Mother Teresa, Mr. Abraham Lincoln. The second lecture was delivered by Mr. V. Ganesh Kumar, Senior Administrative Officer, ICAR-CRRI. He spoke and enlightened about inculcating good qualities in life. Also he explained the importance of unity and integrity in the organizational setup. The programme was concluded with the remarks from Dr. S. Samantray, Director, ICAR-CRRI. She highlighted the significant contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the national development. The programme ended with vote of thanks by Mr. Manoj Nayak, Senior technical Officer, Social Sciences Division. Dr. N. N. Jambhulkar, Orgnizing Secretary, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas moderated the programme.
