Promoting Integrity and Transparency: Vigilance Awareness Week–2025 at ICAR–CRRI, Cuttack
Vigilance Awareness Week–2025 was observed at ICAR–CRRI, Cuttack, from 27th October to 2nd November 2025 on the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility” (सतर्कता: हमारी साझा जिम्मेदारी), in line with the Central Vigilance Commission’s initiative.
The observance began with the Integrity Pledge, administered by Dr. G.A.K. Kumar, Director, ICAR–CRRI, followed by a workshop-cum-seminar addressed by Dr. Sunil Kumar Das, CFAO, ICAR–NIASM, Baramati, who emphasized transparency and ethical governance.
Various activities were held during the week — a quiz (28 Oct 2025), debate and awareness walk (29 Oct 2025) under the guidance of Dr. P.C. Rath, Vigilance Officer, and a slogan competition (30 Oct 2025) among IARI–CRRI Hub students. Gram Sabhas were organized on November 1, 2025, at Sudusailo village of Cuttack and Ulidihi village of Mayurbhanj district. The programmes were conducted in the presence of Dr. Srikant Lenka, Dr. P.C. Jena, Dr. B. Raghavendra Goud (Scientist), and Shri Dularam Majhi (Technical Assistant) from ICAR–CRRI, Cuttack, to promote participative vigilance and community awareness on ethical governance, attended by local farmers and farm women.
The closing ceremony on 3rd November 2025 was held in the presence of Lt. Col. Bibekananda Pattanaik, Registrar, Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar, as Chief Guest, who delivered an insightful speech on preventive vigilance and the importance of proactive steps in fostering transparency and ethics. The results of various competitions were announced, and prizes were distributed during the valedictory function, chaired by Dr. Pratap Bhattacharyya, Director (I/c), ICAR–CRRI, and co-chaired by Dr. P.C. Rath, Vigilance Officer, ICAR–CRRI. At the end, Mrs. Rosalin Swain, Senior Technical Officer offered the formal vote of thanks.
