One-Day Technology Based Entrepreneurship Development Programme (TEDP) on Smart Urban Farming Technologies
A one-day Technology Based Entrepreneurship Development Programme (TEDP) on Smart Urban Farming Technologies was organized at ICAR-CRRI, Cuttack on 9th September 2025, sponsored by the Agribusiness Incubation Centre (ABI).
The programme was chaired by Dr. Sanghamitra Samantaray, Director, ICAR-CRRI, Cuttack who emphasized the importance of creating meaningful impacts across both urban and rural communities through smart farming innovations.
Dr. Pratibha Sahu, Scientist, ICAR-IIWM, Bhubaneswar, served as one of the key resource persons and delivered insightful sessions on hydroponics, aeroponics, and aquaponics technologies. Mr. S.K. Mohanty, Director, Encloponics Pvt. Ltd., Bhubaneswar, deliberated on Efficient Nutrient Management in Hydroponics, while Mr. L.K. Paltasingh, Former DDA, Kalahandi, spoke on various Government schemes, subsidies, and the development of business models and strategic plans for smart urban agriculture.
As the Course Director, Dr. Biswajit Mondal, encouraged and motivated aspiring entrepreneurs from across Odisha to adopt smart urban farming solutions for sustainable business ventures.
A total of 16 entrepreneurs from different parts of the state actively participated in the programme, gaining practical knowledge and exposure to innovative farming technologies. The programme was coordinated by Ms. Shruti Snata Panda, who served as the training coordinator.
