Fostering Ethical Governance: ICAR–CRRI’s Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025

The Central Vigilance Commission, Government of India, observes Vigilance Awareness Week every year in the week coinciding with the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (31st October). In line with this initiative, the Vigilance Awareness Week – 2025 is being observed from 27th October to 2nd November 2025 on the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility” (सतर्कता: हमारी साझा जिम्मेदारी).
To mark the occasion, the ICAR-Central Rice Research Institute (CRRI), Cuttack organized a series of activities promoting integrity, transparency, and accountability in public service. The observance commenced with an inaugural ceremony on 27th October, during which Dr. G.A.K. Kumar, Director, ICAR-CRRI, administered the Integrity Pledge to all staff members, reaffirming their commitment to ethical conduct and good governance.
In the afternoon session, a workshop-cum-seminar was held for the institute’s stakeholders, featuring Dr. Sunil Kumar Das, Chief Finance and Accounts Officer, ICAR–National Institute of Abiotic Stress Management (NIASM), Baramati, as the keynote speaker. Dr. Das delivered an insightful address emphasizing the importance of vigilance, transparency, and collective responsibility in fostering institutional integrity.
