District-Level Kisan Mela-cum-Horticultural Exhibition at KVK, Koderma Promotes Sustainable and Commercial Farming 
ICAR-CRRI-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Koderma, in collaboration with the State Department of Agriculture, Jharkhand and the Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Koderma, organized a District-Level Kisan Mela-cum-Horticultural Exhibition at KVK, Koderma, on 26 February 2026.
Shri Rituraj, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Koderma, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Shri Ramdhan Yadav, Zila Parishad Chairman, and Smt. Anju Devi, Block Pramukh, Jainagar, attended as Guests of Honour along with other dignitaries.
More than 12 stalls were set up, showcasing advancements in agriculture and allied sectors by various state departments, including agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, and fisheries, along with NGOs and FPOs. These stalls disseminated information on government programmes and schemes aimed at benefiting farmers.
The event focused on promoting commercial farming to enhance farmers’ livelihoods and income security. Farmers from different districts exhibited superior-quality farm produce, which was evaluated under various categories by expert scientists from KVK and the State Department of Agriculture. Altogether, 400 farmers and farmwomen participated in the programme, making the event a grand success.
