Awareness Campaign under MGMG Programme ![]()
A Kisan Gosthi and Awareness Programme was organized by ICAR–Central Rice Research Institute (CRRI), Central Rainfed Upland Rice Research and Resource Station (CRURRS), Hazaribag, on 02.06.2026 under the “Mera Gaon–Mera Gaurav” initiative with the theme “Science-based Nutrient and Input Management for Balanced Fertilization.” The programme was conducted at Gargali Village, Manduchatti Panchayat, Mandu Block by Team 15.
Dr. S. M. Prasad, Principal Scientist (Agronomy), discussed the importance of balanced fertilization and elaborated on the preparation and use of different types of composts, as well as the role of green manuring in sustainable crop production. Dr. Arunkumara C. G., Scientist (Entomology), highlighted the importance of seed treatment and the use of biofertilizers for improving crop productivity and reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers. Dr. Dharmjeet, Subject Matter Specialist (Horticulture), KVK Ramgarh, shared information on Kharif crops and their recommended management practices. Mr. Ravindra Singh from the Support Organization discussed agri-entrepreneurship and livelihood opportunities for small and marginal farmers.
The programme was graced by the presence of the former Mukhiya of the Panchayat, Smt. Phoolmati Devi. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Sweta Bara from the Support Organization. Among those present on the occasion were Mr. Kuldeep Kumar and Ms. Geeta Devi from the Support Organization, and Mr. Bheem Raj Meena, Technical Assistant, CRURRS, Hazaribag. A total of 65 farmers (8 male and 57 female) participated in the programme and benefited from the technical discussions and interactions.
