Awareness Campaign under MGMG Programme

An Awareness Programme was organized by ICAR–CRRI-Central Rainfed Upland Rice Research Station (CRURRS), Hazaribag, on 03.06.2026 under the “Mera Gaon–Mera Gaurav and Khet Bachao Abhiyan. The programme was conducted at Hendegarha Village, Churchu Block, Hazaribagh District.
Dr. S. M. Prasad, Principal Scientist (Agronomy), discussed on preparation and use of different types of composts, as well as the role of green manuring crops in sustainable crop production and also elaborated the climate resilient rice varieties of CRRI-CRURRS, Hazaribagh for Jharkhand state. Dr. S. Bhagat, Pr. Scientist (Plant Pathology), highlighted the importance of seed treatment and the use of biofertilizers and biocontrol agents for improving crop productivity and reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
The programme was graced by the presence of the Sri. Phuleshwar Mahato, Director, Churchu Baadi Phal Sabji Producer Company Limited. Among those present on the occasion were Sri. Deepak Kumar Arya, Project Manager, Switch ON Foundation, Sri. Subrato Mandal, Programme Manager, Switch ON Foundation and Sri. Nakul Mahato, Block Technical Manager, ATMA. A total of 68 farmers (7 male and 61 female)) participated in the programme and benefited from the technical discussions and interactions.
