Valedictory Programme of the Entrepreneurship Development Program on CRRI Bio-stimulants held at ICAR-CRRI, Cuttack

The valedictory programme of the eight-day Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) on CRRI Bio-stimulants was organized on 21 July 2025 at ICAR-Central Rice Research Institute (CRRI), Cuttack. Prof. H.B. Singh, Former Head, Department of Plant Pathology, BHU, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The programme was presided over by Dr. G.A.K. Kumar, Director, ICAR-CRRI. Dr. Upendra Kumar served as the Course Director for this training programme.
In his address, Prof. H.B. Singh emphasized that branding and packaging are equally important alongside technology to deliver a marketable product. Dr. G.A.K. Kumar addressed the participants’ queries regarding institutional terms and conditions and encouraged them to gain an in-depth understanding of the biofertilizer market.
Dr. Dibyendu Chatterjee and Dr. P. Panneerselvam, Course Coordinators, shared their remarks and presented a detailed report on the 8-day training programme. A compendium of lecture notes was released on this occasion, and certificates were awarded to the participants.
Participants provided constructive feedback, appreciating the training and expressing their desire to remain associated with CRRI in the future. A total of 15 participants comprising 14 male & 1 female from nine districts of Odisha took part in this program.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Sai Krishna Repalli (Research Associate). The programme was supported under the Jaiva Poshak Project and organized in collaboration with the ABI Centre.
