Two-Days Training Programme for FPOs from Jagatsinghpur and Puri on Adoption of CRRI Biofertilizer Model
Two-days training programme on “Adoption of CRRI Biofertilizer Model” was organized for Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) from Jagatsinghpur and Puri districts at ICAR-CRRI from 23 to 24 July 2025 under the Jaiva Poshak project funded by the Government of Odisha. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. G.A.K. Kumar, Director, ICAR-CRRI. Dr. Upendra Kumar (Course Director) elaborated on the project objectives, while Dr. A.K. Mukherjee and Dr. Annie Poonam (Course Coordinators) guided the sessions on biofertilizer applications, including Trichoderma. The participants discussed their plans and requirements with CRRI experts. The programme concluded with a presentation of the course report and remarks from the Director, emphasizing the need for FPOs to promote CRRI biofertilizers and explore test markets for future benefits. A total of 21 participants comprising of 16 men and five women representing seven FPCs attended the training.
