Materials of day to day swachhata activities of “Swachhata Pakhwada-2025 including Kishan Diwas on 23.12.2025” from 16-31 December, 2025” at ICAR-Central Rice Research Institute, Cuttack (Odisha)
As per direction by the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Government of India and instruction from ICAR, New Delhi; ICAR-Central Rice Research Institute, Cuttack organized day to day Swachhata activities under “Swachhata Pakhwada-2025 including Kishan Diwas on 23.12.2025” from 16-31 December, 2025” as per the “Date wise Action Plan for organization of Swachhata Pakhwada. On the very first day (on 16.12.2025, banners were kept in different sites of the Institute, and “Swachhata Anthem” was displayed. Dr.GAK Kumar, Director, ICAR-CRRI, Cuttack administered “Swachhata Pledge in Hindi language” in Dr.K.Ramiah Conference Hall to all the staff members and others involved in Institute activities. During the period from 16-31 December, 2025, the Institute Swachha Bharat Committee members with cooperation and coordination from all the Divisions/Sections/Units of the Institute undertook eight Swachhata (cleaning) drives; one Plantation drive; two competitions on “Swachhata” (essay and drawing) among different categories of CRRI High School students; Celebration of “Special Day-Kishan Diwas” on auspicious occasion of birth day of late Ch.Charan Singh, ex-Prime Minister of India in Dr. K.Ramiah Conference Hall on 23.12.2025; three numbers of “Awareness drives on maintenance of Swachhata and non-use of Single Use Plastics” to the village residents and students of IARI-CRRI Education Hub. Concluding Programme of Swachhata Pakhwada-2025” was organized on 2.01.2026 in which Mr.Jubuli Behera, Deputy Commissioner (Sanitation), CMC delivered a valuable, inspiring talk on objectives of swachhata and different prominent activities being undertaken by Cuttack Municipal Corporation. In one workshop on 17.12.2025, Dr.Rubina Khanam, Scientist, ICAR-CRRI, Cuttack delivered an impressive talk on ‘Converting waste into wealth: Sustainable innovations of agriculture” on 17.12.2025 and distribution of awards to the selected students of CRRI High School, Cuttack by the Director of the Institute and Mr. Jubuli Behara, Deputy Commissioner of Cuttack Municipal Corporation on 2.01.2026.
