Implementation of the Biofertilizer Model Village at Koraput
A training programme on “Implementation of Biofertilizer Model Village” was held on 04 August 2025 at Colony Four, Kotpad block, Koraput district under the Jaiva-Poshak (ଜୈବ-ପୋଷକ) project funded by DAFE, Govt. of Odisha. Dr. Upendra Kumar, CRRI (PI), explained the use of Endo N, Endo NPK, Tech Decomposer, and Azolla. Dr. Sudipta Paul shared the project objectives, while Dr. Biswajit Mondal highlighted the benefits of biofertilizers. Dr. A.K. Mukherjee discussed Trichoderma use in pulses and vegetables, and Dr. Annie Poonam spoke on integrated farming. Sri Bijay Kumar Mahanta, AHO, briefed on horticulture schemes. Dr. Ansuman Pattnayak from Pragati guided on application methods and encouraged farmers to develop Colony Four as a model village. Dr. Sai Krishna Repalli, Research Associate demonstrated product usage. The event was moderated by Smt. Luna Panda and facilitated by Amit Maity and team. A total of 77 farmers (40 men, 37 women) participated and benefitted.
