With the objective of strengthening the supply chain of quality bioinoculants, one-day training programmes on “Developing a Model Supply Chain for CRRI-Quality Bioinoculants to the Farming Community of Odisha” were conducted for fertilizer dealers from Jagatsinghpur and Dhenkanal districts on 29 and 30 January 2026, respectively by ICAR–CRRI, Cuttack
Technical sessions covered CRRI products such as NRRI Endo N, NRRI Endo NPK, Trichoderma, Ecolime, and NRRI Tech Decomposer, along with commercialization guidelines. Altogether, 65 fertilizer dealers (63 male and 2 female) participated enthusiastically in the programmes across both districts. The participants showed keen interest in entering into formal agreements with ICAR–CRRI for the sales and marketing of CRRI biofertilizers and decomposers in the near future.
The programmes were conducted under the guidance of Dr. Upendra Kumar (Course Director), Dr. A.K. Mukherjee, and Dr. Sudipta Paul (Course Co-Directors) to strengthen the supply chain of CRRI biofertilizers and decomposers through licensed dealers.
These initiatives are in line with ICAR–CRRI’s continued efforts to promote sustainable agriculture through the adoption of eco-friendly bio-inputs. The programme aims to reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers while improving soil health and enhancing crop productivity in rice-based farming systems. The training programmes were conducted under the ‘Jaiva-Poshak’ project, funded by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment (DAFE), Government of Odisha.
