CRRI Hosts Live Streaming of 21st Installment Release of PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Programme in the presence of Hon’ble Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Shri Jual Oram ![]()
“The PM-KISAN scheme have been playing a pivotal role in uplifting farmers’ conditions by providing direct income support enhancing their financial stability, boosting investment in agricultural inputs and reducing their dependence on credit sources since its inception”, said the Hon’ble Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Shri Jual Oram while chairing the live streaming programme of the release of the 21st installment of the PM-KISAN organized on 19th November 2025 by the Central Rice Research Institute, Cuttack in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Santhpur, Cuttack. The Hon’ble minister further said that the financial assistance through 21st distribution of PM Kisan Scheme is another milestone in the government’s ongoing efforts to support farmers across the country. This money transfer is facilitating the beneficiary farmers to purchase critical inputs in urgency as well as to invest in modern practices. He made a clarion call to minimize the use of chemical fertilizers and emphasized for organic farming.
Dr. G.A.K. Kumar, Director, ICAR–CRRI heartily welcomed the Hon’ble Union Minister and addressed the gathering on the benefits of PM-KISAN scheme in Odisha. He urged the Hon’ble Union Minister to create facilitation centres in each district of Odisha for those famers who are still left out to be registered to avail the benefits of this scheme.
Dr. S.D. Mohapatra, Chairperson, Organizing Committee, while delivering the welcome address underscored the scheme’s monumental impact on facilitating financial support directly to the beneficiaries.
A farmer interaction programme was organized in which about 286 farmers and farm women participated from various districts of Odisha. The Hon’ble Union Minister interacted with the farmers and felicitated progressive farmers for their notable contributions to agricultural growth in Odisha.
Dr. K. Chakraborty and Dr. P.C. Jena coordinated the programme as the Organizing Secretaries. Dr. Biswajit Mondal, Co-Chairperson, Organizing Committee proposed vote of thanks.
