A two-day workshop on Social Simulation organized at ICAR-CRRI, Cuttack

A two-day workshop on Social Simulation under the NASF-funded project, “Developing Simulation Model of Technology Diffusion (TechSIM), Adoption & Impact for Forecasting Using Techno-Socio-Psycho-Economic-Ecological Factors” was successfully organized at ICAR-Central Rice Research Institute (ICAR-CRRI), Cuttack during 9-10 July 2025. The participants were exposed to various social simulation methodologies and a hands-on experience in collection of primary data through household survey using computer assisted personal interview (CAPI).
Dr. Sudipta Paul, Sr. Scientist and Organizing Secretary of the workshop provided overall guidance and supervision for equipping participants with practical skills in survey design and digital data acquisition through the KoBo Toolbox platform.
The training is expected to significantly contribute to the quality and efficiency of data collection across the project’s target regions, laying a strong foundation for the subsequent simulation and analysis phases.
