Incubation Programme on Biofertilizers

ICAR-CRRI has organized Incubation Programme on Biofertilizers spanning Over 15 intensive days during May and June 2026, this programme brought together representatives from 13 Farmer Producer Companies and 8 young entrepreneurs under one roof, with a single vision: to transform knowledge into enterprise. Through 57 carefully designed sessions both theoretical and practical organised across three structured phases, namely:
• Biofertilizer Business Accelerator Week: From Compliance to Market Leadership
• Production, Operations & Quality Management
• Business Management, Finance & Enterprise Development
During the program, participants have been equipped with the full spectrum of competencies necessary to independently produce, manage, market, and sustain biofertilizer enterprises. Valedictory program was organised on 05.06.2026. Director Dr. SD Mohapatra in his presidential address has emphasised on the ongoing Khet Bacho Abhiyan, MGMG and the relevance of biofertilizer adoption by farmers in this scenario and expressed that the prominent role played by FPCs to take this technology to the farmers. He also emphasised on the quality to be maintained during production for wide reach of biofertilizers to the farming community. Dr. Upendra Kumar, Senior Scientist is PI & Course Director of this innovative Jaiva poshak project funded by the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment (DAFE), Government of Odisha. Dr. Dibyendu Chatterjee is the Course Coordinator. Dr. Sai Krishna Repalli, Research Associate proposed vote of thanks. This program is facilitated by the project staff.
