Balance Fertilizer use for Sustainable Crop Production organised by ICAR- Central Rice Research Institute, Cuttack at Uttaran, Cuttack, Odisha 
Awareness cum training was organised at Uttaran, Cuttack, Odisha on 29.05.2026. In the program farmers were Aware on Balanced Fertilizer Application. Today, in this program, Dr. Prakash Chandra Jena, Shri Debabrata Das and Shri. Ankit Anand from Central Rice Research Institute made the farmers present aware about the Efficient use of fertilizer for better crop production. Along with this, Shri Bairagi Mallick, Shri Sukant T.D from other SCSP foster villages were present and helps in conducting the program successfully.
During the programme, detailed discussions were held on maintaining soil health through balanced fertilizer application in paddy and other crops. Emphasis was given to enhancing crop productivity while ensuring efficient water use and environmental protection. The experts also highlighted the judicious use of fertilizers in paddy cultivation along with the importance of organic and sustainable farming practices. The awareness programme further focused on improving farmers’ income through improved technologies developed at the Paddy Research Centre, use of Leaf Colour Charts for nutrient management, and adoption of natural farming methods. Total 186 sisters and brothers’ farmers attended the program and actively participated in the discussion.
