A Farmers’ Workshop on Technology Adoption in Rice-Based Production Systems was successfully organized on 13 March 2026 at Kusunpur, Kendrapara, Odisha under the NASF-funded Project (EAP-435) titled “Developing Simulation Model of Technology Diffusion (TechSIM), Adoption & Impact for Forecasting Using Techno-Socio-Psycho-Economic-Ecological Factors.”
Seventy farmers from four project villages—Kusunpur (Kendrapara), Laxminarayanpur (Cuttack), and Padmalavapur and Chandrasekharpur (Jajpur)—participated in the workshop. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sudipta Paul and Dr. Biswajit Mondal, who interacted with the farmers on the adoption of improved technologies in rice-based production systems.
The workshop provided a platform for farmers to share their experiences, challenges, and suggestions related to rice cultivation and associated farming systems. The discussions highlighted the importance of adopting improved agricultural technologies for enhancing productivity and sustainability in rice-based production systems.
