Inspiring Visit of Padma Shri Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh to CRRI-CRURRS, Hazaribag 
Padma Shri Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh, Honourable Chairman (QRT) of ICAR-Central Rice Research Institute, Cuttack and former Director of ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, visited the Central Rainfed Upland Rice Research Station (CRRI-CRURRS) at Hazaribag on 17 February 2026. During his visit, he interacted with the scientists, administrative, and technical staff of the station. He reviewed and discussed the significant achievements of the centre, particularly in the development of newly released rice varieties and suitable technologies for rainfed upland and drought-prone ecosystems. He highly appreciated the ongoing research activities and the commendable contributions of the station towards sustainable rice production in challenging agro-climatic conditions.
