Two-day training programme on CRRI Biofertilizers
A two-day training program on CRRI Biofertilizers for Progressive Farmers, Integrated Farming System (IFS) Farmers, and nodal officers of the Jaiva Poshak project, from 20-21 Jan, 2026 was inaugurated by Dr Pratap Bhattacharyya, Head, Crop Production Division, on 20 Jan, 2026. He has emphasized the necessity for a thorough understanding of the applications of biofertilizers. Dr. Upendra Kumar is the Course Director, and Dr. Biswajit Mondal is the Course Coordinator for this program. They have explained the provisions in the project and the schedule of the program, respectively. Participants have put forward their interests and aspirations in attending this program. A total of 23 participants (19 male & 4 female), from nine districts of Odisha, have participated in this program. This program was concluded on 21 Jan, 2026 with presidential remarks from Dr. Meera Kumari Kar, Head Crop Improvement Division, mentioning the necessity for the Progressive Farmers to practice and give constructive feedback on the performance of biofertilizers in the farmers’ fields. There were interactions and discussions with State Government Agriculture Officers on the framework and road map ahead for supervision of the farmers’ fields in their respective districts.
