Training program for Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) from Cuttack and Dhenkanal districts on “Adoption of CRRI Biofertilizer model
A two-day training programme on the “Adoption of CRRI Biofertilizer Model” was organized by ICAR-CRRI, Cuttack for Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) from Cuttack and Dhenkanal districts during 07–08 July 2025. It was inaugurated by Dr. Pratap Bhattacharyya, Head, Crop Production Division, who stressed upon the importance of biofertilizer application in rice farming. Dr. Upendra Kumar (Course Director) explained about the project, while Dr. A.K. Mukherjee (Course Coordinator) briefed about the day-to-day programme. Dr. Biswajit Mondal discussed the economic benefits of biofertilizer application in rice farming. A total of 33 participants (28 male, 5 female) from 14 FPCs attended the programme. This programme was concluded on 08 July 2025 with presidential remarks from Dr. Sanghamitra Samantaray, Director, CRRI, mentioning the necessity for the FPOs to take forward the benefits of biofertilizers to the farming community. The training programme was conducted under the Jaiva Poshak project, funded by Govt. of Odisha.
