75th Anniversary of the Constitution of India Celebrated with Enthusiasm

The ICAR-Central Rice Research Institute, Cuttack observed Constitution Day (Samvidhan Divas) on 26 November 2025 with great respect and patriotic fervour, honouring the adoption of the Constitution of India. As per the directives of the ICAR & Government of India, the celebrations focused on promoting awareness about the core constitutional values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.
The programme began with a Pledge Ceremony in which the Director, Dr. G.A.K. Kumar, led the gathering by reading the Preamble to the Constitution, followed by all staff members and students. Participants from various Regional Centres and KVKs also joined the ceremony through online mode, ensuring wider involvement.
As part of the day’s activities, a Quiz Competition was organized, encouraging all staff members to participate in the online quiz hosted on mygov.in and constitution75.com. The initiative aimed to deepen knowledge about the Constitution and promote civic awareness.
In the afternoon, a special talk was delivered by the Chief Guest, Shri Satish Kumar Gajbhiye, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Special Armed Police (SAP), Odisha. In his address, he highlighted the significance of constitutional values in maintaining law, order, and social harmony, and inspired participants to uphold their responsibilities as citizens. Dr. G.A.K. Kumar, Director, ICAR-CRRI, Cuttack, delivered the presidential remarks. Dr. Sudhamoy Mandal, Chairman of the programme, welcomed the dignitaries. The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Shri Dhanesh Krishna R. The Constitution Day celebration successfully reinforced the importance of the Indian Constitution and strengthened the collective resolve to contribute towards an inclusive and democratic nation.
