On the very first day i.e, on 17.09.2026, Dr.GAK Kumar, Director (I\/c) administered \u201cSwachhata Pledge\u201d in Hindi language to all the staff members and others in Dr.K.Ramiah Conference Hall.\r\nDuring the above period, the Institute Swachha Bharat Committee with cooperation and coordination from all the Divisions\/Sections\/Units of the Institute organized five Swachhata (cleaning) drives; two competitions on \u201cSwachhata\u201d (essay and slogan writing) among different standards of CRRI High School students; monitored swachhata in CRRI laboratory (1 no.) and administration Unit (I no.); creating awareness campaigns on swachhata and discouraging use of \u201cSingle Use Plastics\u201d (4 nos.); organization of one workshop on \u201cWaste to wealth\u201d by Dr.S.Muda, Senior Scientist (Agronomy), CRRI on 28.09.2026; organization of \u201cSymbolic human chain on swachhata\u201d in Kanheipur village on 29.09.226 and organization of one important event on 1.10.2026 on \u201cEk Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath\u201d with involvement of fifty farmers from Bhadrak &amp; Ganjam in the Institute Vermicompost Unit.\r\nConcluding programme of SHS-2026 was organized on 2.10.2026 including prize distribution by Dr. P. Bhattacharya, I\/c Director, CRRI, Cuttack to the winning students and felicitation of eminent citizens of Kanheipur, Bidyadharpur villages spreading the message of \u201cSwachh Bharat Abhiyan\u201d in their localities.
