Strengthening local seed chain under SCSP<\/strong><\/p>\r\nICAR-NRRI took initiative for strengthening local seeds chain in Cooch Behar district of West Bengal. Total 100 quintal breeder seed of 12 varieties of rice were provided to Scheduled Caste farmers of six blocks including two submergence tolerant varieties as the district frequently faces crop damage due to flash floods.
